MMI 3G Online UMTS Performance

Hi,
The network performance of the MMI 3G+ is really bad. is there a possibility to improve the download/upload speed for the MMI 3G+ Online umts module?
With the same network operator at the same location - on my android phone, I reach almost 8-10 mbit download, with the MMI only maximum 1 mBit. (even with 3G access and full signal level)
