Are you sure?
The modified StartDumper.sh checkes if there is MMI3GApplication in efs-persist: if there isn't it copies it from /usr/apps.
In my opinion there is no need of emergency update.

Патченный startDumper.sh ссылается на /mnt/efs-persist/MMI3GApplication. При аварийном восстановлении переписывается startDumper.sh. Если удалить MMI3GApplication или при патче установить не от своей версии будет кирпич, потому как грузить не чего.

Patched startDumper.sh creates a symbolik link in /usr/apps and it links the patched application in efs-persist
So the original application is still there: if you deletes the application in efs-persist patched startdumper copies from /usr/apps to efs-persist and then symbolik link is still live.

Может и так, но я также делаю просто аварийное восстановление, и появляется VIN в меню car.
А вы пробовали просто удалить / mnt/efs-persist/MMI3GApplication? Это работает?
Найду время и посмотрю, есть ли информация онлайн в тех двух файлах о которых я писал.

I didn't try because I'm not sure that newsdays tmconline is a problem related to 2014 activation.
Maybe Audi server have some temporary problems.....
I don't know: it is very strange.
What it is true is that from yesterday (in italy in the afternoon) tmc online us not working anymore.

Me too in the afternoon in France. But service no came back itself,.I was forced to reinstall FW throught emergencyupdate. Some fears because the system got errors. And I inserted the 0770 FW SD to recover the MMI.
All works good now but this issue is really curious !!

Why do you need it?
The patched version is save version one and then you can keep it also if you use the original Application.
Anyway the original startdumper.sh is:

#!/bin/fesh
/usr/sbin/dumper -m -w -z 1 -c -d /HBpersistence/core -d /mnt/persistence -f io-pkt-v4-hc -f devc-serusb -f io-usb

Thanks spinmar, this is only for my information. I try to recover a bricked MMI so I would like to fully understand how it works ;-)

UPDATED VINPATCHER! Fixed bug with text padding on RNS850. Now it looks like in its original form.
