I had some free time yesterday and did tried yesterday 3G high to 3G plus convert.
What i did is first from 3G High went to 3G+ P0066.
So far so good, on the table the units works great, diagnose works too
Then i went to K0942. Unit was working good but when you try to enter in diagnose (VCDS/VCP/ODIS) the unit reboots.
Then i went to K0942 but A4/5 software. Unit again was working good but same problem with diagnose.

And one more thing. Even if i change the eeprom with one from 3G+ unit, every time i try to code something it's refusing the coding with "request out of range".

Do you have same problem?
Its interesting.

As Crash said the unit will work even with 40GB hdd although i did changed it to 60GB one.

I will try to find the problem.

Hi Congo,

nice to hear from you again...

The 3G hardware versions are different over the last years... The 3G main units (MU9307 /08) at the last production phase use the same 9410/9411 main PCB as the newer 3GP (MU9411 / 9098).
But the older ones have a couple of different HW versions... At your experiment, what PCB release was used? You can find it noted on PCB under the MOST connector.

I will check it later, i did visual inspection and they were 1:1 except the missing connector for the wifi board and maybe some components.

Do you know which version will be fine and which not.
I do have one 2011 3G high unit that might be even closer to 3G plus, i will check that one too.

OK, I think MU 9308 release later than 2011/12 and above will same 9411 PCB... but not sure. And yes, the missing WiFi connector is one of the most shorts of this up-flash activities...

PCB is 9411/4010
So in theory should work with HN+R_EU_AU
So far on HN+_EU_AU_P0066 is stable and looks like it works.
But on HN+R_EU_AU_K0900 the diagnose is rebooting it every time you try to access it.
I will try with lower to see if it's going to work.
The idea is to be able to work in A4/5 car (as i need it for me :P )

OK, maybe there is something different in the bios... This will not flashed at any SW update.
I can support you with the binaries if you need.

Not BIOS problem.
Maybe is software/hardware incompatibility ...
I will try when i have time to see if it works in car.
Too bad that i dont have as much time as i want to for this

As far as i can see you too had some diagnostic issues.
Missing clock is because of can gateway i think.
I did 3G high to 3G plus on A6/4F at the past and it was pain in the a**
New can gateway and a bunch of other modules just to have the info on the dashboard display.

Although there is no diagnose at the moment the unit works in car.
Most of the functions are working as expected.
I now need MMI3G High and 3G plus eeprom dump from unit w/o SIM as i have some problems with BT.
With INIC and IOC from P0066 unit have diagnose but have trouble with the communication protocols.
The unit refuses to accept 3G+ coding, will accept only 3G high coding using the normal coding procedure. It will accept any coding if written to eeprom directly.
If someone can supply me with 3G high and 3G plus e2p dump from unit w/o SIM i will continue the testing and fine tuning.

p.s. INIC can be flashed easily from console even if it's not in bolo mode. Do anyone know how to flash IOC from console and/or put the unit in bolo mode from console and not thru the normal update menu ?

@Tschako - thanks for the dump, as i suspected i had wrong eeprom loaded and that's why my BT worked only as address book. With internal phone coded to off (addresses above) the BT works perfect.

I think that on unit with SIM if there is a problem with the module (as some say but dont share what is wrong) is we code it to turn off the module the unit will work on BT w/o issue.

While testing i also tested auto IOC reflash by creating proper update.txt in SWDL folder and it worked. Wonder if it will work if for some reason the unit always boot in bolo mode (erased V850).

I also started to debug if we can change the buttons id's so we can use the old 3G high keyboard and the buttons to be in the right order. But i think that this info is in the rom.classes file and i cant open that.
Other than wrong button id's the keyboard works just fine.

It will be great to combine force and make this complete ... if possible.

Yes,
But the telit module gets detected as AC75 but it does not work.
I will try again after my vacation

The recognition and installation of the AC75 is a fallback function. That means, the communication with the Telit or AH6 was not available...
