You have to sync the Baud rate of the keyboard and the main unit. Means for a 3GP Facelift the keyboard link speed is 19200 Bit/s.
The pre Facelift version 3G uses 9600 Bit/s serial speed. Best way: use a FL key panel as well.
Other solution: change the port speed of the main unit to 9600 Bit/s compatibility in the hidden menu or change the coding. Think its APK 14, but not shure.
