A bird told me about this discussion and I thought to come here and say hello :-)
with regards to map activation, I have been using this solution for almost 9 months, I have been very happy with it because it's clean, fast, reliable, risk-free, and doesn't hide the VIN number. I was asked by friends from all around the world to make it available to everyone interested, especially for the new firmware and mmi hardware 61... and that's why that website exists!
I don't do marketing, I don't anyone to use it unless they really 'need' it. The money requested on the site is very reasonable considering all research & development I've done over the years, and result of that is pure investment for more innovations.

The history of my emails with you all go back many months, I can definitely see that I've helped you at some stage. It would be nice to see you guys supporting this new 'outside the box' way of activation. Please don't try to break what I've built, just try to enjoy it.

1. RNS850 that came in 2015 models had GEMMI (GoogleEarth for MMI) enabled but the older models didn't.
2. You're asking if my activation will enable GEMMI on older RNS850 that have new firmware such as K821.
GEMMI for RNS850 comes in K821 firmware but after installation you will notice that the icon becomes inactive, even if you run run_gemmi.sh it will not come up on the screen, this has nothing to do with online connection, this is due to some other metrics on the MMI itself. I've managed to enable via a lot of hacking and tuning, at this stage I'm not going to share this information online.
TMC Pro \ Online - this can also be enabled via a script, no vin or online authentication is required, there are 4 tokens (request, response, entitlement and crc hash) saved in a file on the efs-persist. Once you write them the screen says "activated until dd/mm/yyyy" and it works. Again, I can't share this information online at this stage.
